This is a 45 year old patient from Western Montana who was concerned about the wrinkles and skin changes around her eyes that occur with aging. Her upper lids were starting to look and feel heavy and the thinning skin of the upper and lower lids created wrinkles and a crepe appearance. The surgical option of blepharoplasty, or eye lid lift, was discussed, but the patient was not interested in surgery.

We performed SmartSkin C02 by Cynosure on the skin around her eyes and eye lids using a topical numbing cream only for anesthesia. After a few days of minor swelling and peeling, she was able to apply make-up and return to work.
