Perlane® is an injectable cosmetic dermal filler used by the physicians at Advanced Aesthetics to soften wrinkles and facial folds of patients. While most commonly used to treat wrinkles and fine lines, it is also a popular filler for lip augmentation and for treating facial depressions and facial scarring. We use Perlane® to help patient's correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds by restoring volume and fullness to the skin. Intended for deeper injection, Perlane® is designed to add volume for structural support and lift of facial skin. Applied by injection with an ultra fine needle, Perlane® is a non-surgical treatment which allows patients to immediately return to their normal daily activities. It provides patients with a safe and natural way to eliminate deep facial lines.
Perlane®, A product similar to Restylane®, is made from non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) gel; this means that Perlane® does not contain any products. Since hyaluronic acid is a natural substance already found within the skin and other tissue, there is no need for a skin test when using Perlane® filler, making treatments easier to get started. The hyaluronic acid within the Perlane® injections supplements the body's natural supply, which becomes depleted with age. Perlane® is a biodegradable filler, therefore its effects are not permanent. However the results of a Perlane® filler treatment tend to last our patients six months to a year. This is much longer than the typical results of collagen injections, which may only last three to six months.
