Why Dysport® is Better Than BOTOX® Cosmetic

For the past 10 years or so, BOTOX® Cosmetic has become a household cosmetic term and the go-to facial rejuvenation treatment. It has saturated our lives to the point where just the term BOTOX  has become the generic term for a facial wrinkle treatment. And, it can be obtained just about anywhere. Unfortunately BOTOX frequently is administered by poorly supervised nurse injectors at day spas, by dentists, or even at house parties. We have probably all laughed as the sitcom has poked fun at the person with a frozen “BOTOX smile.” In the right hands BOTOX is very effective and can produce wonderful results. But, as time passes and medical science advances, anti-aging treatments continue to improve.

I have found something better than BOTOX: Dysport®.

Dysport is a neuromodulator similar to BOTOX in molecular structure and application. It is simply made by a different company. The difference is Dysport lasts longer, acts faster and best of all costs less.

My patients who have tried Dysport are not going back to BOTOX. Across the board, patients who have taken the Dysport challenge like it better than BOTOX. The correct placement of the right amount of Dysport creates wonderful results in raising brows, smoothing frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet.

Also, Dysport is designed to not change the look of your whole face. Our approach is to create a younger look without looking plastic, frozen, or artificial, making others wonder if you’ve lost weight, are happier, or are just well-rested. The untreated areas of your face remain unaffected, so your laugh and smile look like your normal laugh and smile.

Plus, at Advanced Aesthetics, Dysport treatments are performed and supervised by myself, Dr. Kevin Johnson, a board-certified surgeon with a particular focus on cosmetic medicine and cosmetic surgery in Spokane and Coeur d’ Alene.

There is hope, and now a better option for moderate to severe frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet. It’s called Dysport and this treatment is available at my Coeur d’Alene and Spokane offices. Please call (509) 209-2171 or (208) 676-8346 for more information.
