Vein Therapy

Unwanted veins can cause both aggravation and embarrassment to those who suffer with them, which is why we offer a variety of vein therapy treatments here at Advanced Aesthetics. Visible veins on the face and legs can be both troublesome and bad for one’s overall health. Because so many men and women search for ways to remove these veins, many vein removal treatments have been introduced. At Advanced Aesthetics you’ll find a multitude of treatments that can help patients to remove any unwanted veins. Learn about our various vein therapy treatments and see if any can help you.

EVLT - The EVLT or endovenous laser treatment works to effectively shut down insufficient, damaged varicose veins that are commonly found on the legs. Varicose veins can become quite pronounced on the legs and, in addition to embarrassment, can cause a multitude of unwanted symptoms such as restless legs, swelling, cramping, tingling and aching. Undergoing EVLT treatments decreases the associative symptoms and removes the embarrassment of visible, unwanted veins.

EVLT treatments utilize the introduction of a laser fiber into the vein in order to use thermal energy to destroy the venous tissue. When the laser fiber is introduced into the vein, the laser energy deposits high amounts of heat energy into the blood and venous tissue. This heat causes irreversible localized tissue damage which leads to complete shutdown of the vein. When blood supply to the vein is cut off, the venous tissue will close and eventually become reabsorbed by the body. EVLT treatments are less invasive than vein stripping – because these treatments are less aggressive, Advanced Aesthetics patients experience less risk, less side effects and faster recovery.

Sclerotherapy - Our Sclerotherapy treatment involves injecting unwanted veins with an irritant solution in order to diminish or eliminate them. During the treatment, a tiny needle will be inserted into the vein, after which a Sclerosing solution is injected, causing irritation to the vein. As this solution is injected into the vein, it displaces the blood, causing the vein to visibly disappear for a few seconds. Once the blood returns, the solution begins to irritate the lumen or inner lining. Irritation leads to swelling and swelling pushes the blood out of the vein. Once injections are complete, a pressure bandage will surround the treated area. The swelling of the vein in combination with the pressure bandage will make it impossible for blood to re-enter the vein. If blood is unable to re-enter, the vein will ultimately close. Tissue of the closed veins will eventually dissolve and be reabsorbed by the body – leading to smooth, vein free skin.

Laser Therapy - There are many vein removal techniques used today, but at Advanced Aesthetics, one of the most popular ways to remove spider veins is through laser therapy. Laser vein removal treatments involve a non-invasive laser being passed over the treated area. The laser light travels through the outer layers of skin where it is attracted to and absorbed by the blood in the spider veins below. The laser energy transforms into heat and that heat cauterizes or cuts off the blood supply to the vein. Once the veins are deprived of blood, they will eventually dissolve and be reabsorbed into the body. A series of treatments are necessary but patients experience fantastic results without the pain, side effects or downtime associated with invasive vein removal procedures.

Whether you suffer with unwanted spider veins or embarrassing unwanted varicose veins, at Advanced Aesthetics we have a vein therapy treatment that can help.
